DR. COLUMBUS: What's the time there?
MALE VOICE 2: It's quarter after nine.
DR. COLUMBUS: Could you do that before the surgery?
MALE VOICE 2: Quarter after nine. I couldn't even see, I could not read my watch before.
DR. COLUMBUS: How close can you see that?
MALE VOICE 2: How close can I see that? I have a Timex Expedition watch on and right now I could read the little letters that says pull crown once for alarm over 60 minutes. And I can't even tell you. I had a hard time reading that with my reading glasses.
DR. COLUMBUS: Mm hmm. So before this you were in the blur.
MALE VOICE 2: Before this I had a difficult time even reading with glasses.
DR. COLUMBUS: Yeah, so…
MALE VOICE 2: It's incredible. It just, just mind boggling.
DR. COLUMBUS: What's it like world before this?
MALE VOICE 2: I had to live with two pairs of glasses and I was like shackled with two pairs of glasses. If I didn't have them I was done. I couldn't read my-- I mean, gosh, you know, just think if I can read that small print on my watch I can, I'll be able to read my gauges on my car with no problem at all. And I couldn't even see them before.
DR. COLUMBUS: Yeah, so you're 100 percent dependent on glasses before this, huh?
MALE VOICE 2: Absolutely.
DR. COLUMBUS: To do everything.
MALE VOICE 2: Read, far sightedness, in between, everything.
DR. COLUMBUS: So you're unleashed.
MALE VOICE 2: Absolutely.
DR. COLUMBUS: Cut your leash. No more glasses huh?
MALE VOICE 2: I'll tell you, it’s a new world.
DR. COLUMBUS: That's amazing.
MALE VOICE 2: It's a new world and it's like being born again. My eyes are born again.
DR. COLUMBUS: A young hip guy now.
MALE VOICE 2: Not young and hip but-- [laughter] I'm not shackled to my glasses anymore. I'm free-I have freedom from glasses.
DR. COLUMBUS: Money can't buy that feeling, huh?
MALE VOICE 2: No, I'll tell you.
DR. COLUMBUS: Words can't express. I now appreciate my work because I see clear out of my left so I'm glad I could help you out.
MALE VOICE 2: Well I'll tell you what, I'm 54 and I've had to wear glasses for 20 years, and finally I said that's enough is enough, and I'm sick and tired of carrying two glasses, two pair of glasses around, and also I can't function. And now everything's fine.
DR. COLUMBUS: Well it's going to get better for you.
MALE VOICE 2: It's incredible. If you tell me it's going to get better.
DR. COLUMBUS: This is only three hours.
MALE VOICE 2: It's only 3-1/2 hours now since surgery.
DR. COLUMBUS: Yeah. Well, welcome to my world.
MALE VOICE 2: I could never thank you enough.
DR. COLUMBUS: Well, it's my pleasure.
MALE VOICE 2: Thank you very much.
DR. COLUMBUS: Oh, you're welcome.
