Juvéderm™
Juvéderm™ is a smooth gel that is used to treat facial lines and wrinkles. The gel is administered in a simple injection, as with BOTOX® Cosmetic, and can be used to treat any area of the face. However, instead of paralyzing the muscles to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles like BOTOX® treatment, Juvéderm™ adds volume and hydration to the skin to fill in these imperfections. Since it is made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the human body, it has a reduced risk of side effects and allergic reactions compared to other facial fillers. Treatment takes only a few minutes, and results can last for up to six months.
