Epi-LASIK is a modified PRK procedure where a corneal scratch is not made unlike PRK...this procedure saves the skin layer of the eye called the "EPI"thelium to potentially promote a faster healing rate with the skin surface preserved. After PRK laser vision correction with Doctor William Columbus, a bandage contact lens is kept in the eye for one week protection and to facilitate healing with eyedrops.
